This is almost always caused by a weak or burned-out bake igniter. Even if you see the igniter glowing orange, it may not be drawing enough electrical current to signal the safety gas valve to open. We use a multimeter to test the amp draw and replace the igniter to safely restore the gas flow and heat.

Continuous clicking is a common annoyance. It happens when the spark module doesn't detect the flame, usually because the spark electrode is dirty, wet from a recent boil-over, or cracked. It can also be a failing ignition switch harness under the knobs. We clean the burner caps and test the ignition circuit to stop the clicking.

The extreme heat of the self-cleaning cycle can sometimes warp the locking mechanism or burn out the door lock motor assembly. Please do not force the door open, as it will shatter the glass. We can safely disassemble the top of the range to manually release the latch and replace the damaged lock assembly.

If your food is burning on the bottom but raw on top, your broil element (at the top of the oven) may have failed, forcing the hidden bake element (at the bottom) to do all the work. Alternatively, the oven temperature sensor may be out of calibration. We test the resistance of both elements and the sensor to calibrate your oven's heating correctly.

An F7 code indicates a shorted key or stuck button on the membrane keypad. Over time, heat and moisture can delaminate the touch panel. You don't need a whole new stove; we can replace the user interface membrane or the electronic range control (ERC) board to clear the code and get your oven working again.
